Government Discusses Strategic Vision of Armenia in Informal Setting: Pashinyan

The government today discussed the strategic vision of the Republic of Armenia in an informal setting. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this during his speech at the closing ceremony of the "Step to Home" program on August 24th.

“I want to talk about one of the decisions we have made. When we considered what slogan we should follow in the coming years, we ultimately accepted that the slogan for the next years for Armenia and the Armenian people should be: ‘Armenia is my home, the people are my family,’” he said.

“We decided that we should eliminate barriers from an individual's life, and that an individual's opportunities should be unlimited from all sides. On the other hand, it is very important for us that a new Armenia is based on national traditions and values. For this, we decided to take the most fundamental and genetic aspects from that tradition, to take our home and create an entirely new reality around it, where there are no chains, barriers, violence, or restrictions,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

He noted that we should not be afraid to dream of a better, stronger, and more powerful Armenia. “The Republic of Armenia should be a stronger, more legal, freer, and more democratic state every year. I see all of us as citizens of that free and happy Armenia. We are all citizens of such an Armenia, regardless of where we live. The most important product of citizenship is living in Armenia.”
