Fire Engulfs Kapan Forestry and Zangezur Biosphere Complex Areas

The Deputy Minister of Environment Vardan Melikyan has published photos on his Facebook page, accompanied by the following comment: “A fire has broken out near the intersection of the Kapan-Shikahogh-Meghri highway and the road leading to Nerkhin Hand. According to preliminary data, the fire encompasses the areas of Kapan Forestry and the Zangezur Biosphere Complex. Specialists from the Ministries of Environment and Emergency Situations, along with volunteers from nearby villages, are fighting the fire on-site.”
