Shooting in Yerevan: 1 Dead and 1 Injured with Shell Casings and Knives Found at the Scene
A quarrel and shooting occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 18:30, the Shengavit police station received a report of gunfire in the Yegishe Tadevosyan street of the Shengavit administrative district, indicating that there were injured individuals.
Police discovered several shell casings fired from different weapons at the scene, including automatic weapons, a 'Makarov' pistol, and revolver-type handguns, as well as knives and blood-like traces.
Currently, investigators from the Yerevan Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee are conducting an on-site inspection. Experts from the forensic department of the Yerevan police are also present.
Additionally, members of the police's special forces unit (red berets) are conducting enhanced services at the scene.
Witnesses at the scene reported that two individuals were transported to the 'Erevan' medical center. Police and investigators are determining whether they sustained gunshot wounds or other injuries.
While police and investigators were examining the scene, the hospital reported that one of the injured individuals had died after not regaining consciousness. Authorities are working to establish the identity of the deceased and the injured.
