Several Wedding Participants Detained by Police in Yerevan
Materials are being prepared in the investigation department of the Arabkir division of the police regarding the fact of using violence against representatives of the authorities in the Arabkir administrative district on August 23.
According to Shamshyan.com, citing its own sources, at about 11:50 PM on that day, officers from the 2nd platoon of the 2nd company of the Patrol Service Battalion of the Yerevan Police noticed that three citizens were arguing while on duty.
As the police approached them to clarify the reason for the dispute, one of them, who did not obey the legal demands of the police, was approached by a group of citizens who began to hit the police officers with their hands and feet when they tried to detain him and put him in a patrol car.
Seeing that they were unable to restore order among these individuals, one of the police officers called for assistance via radio, and the police officers who arrived from Arabkir detained several citizens on suspicion of using violence against a representative of the authorities.
It turned out that the individuals in question are residents of Yerevan: 30-year-old Narek Terzikyan, 29-year-old Babken Baghdasaryan, 32-year-old Vardan Manukyan, 33-year-old Edgar Baghdasaryan, 27-year-old David Gharibyan, 17-year-old Gegham G., 33-year-old Haikaz Haikazyan, and 31-year-old Hakob Petrosyan.
