Fire in Norashenik Village Covers Area of 70 Hectares, Response Efforts Continue

On August 25, at 11:40, a survey conducted with drones revealed 5-6 active fire hotspots in the direction of Norashenik village. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The total area affected by the fire is 70 hectares (20 hectares of vegetation and 50 hectares of forested land).

Response efforts involve 29 rescuers, 20 employees from the Kapan forestry branch of the State Non-Commercial Organization 'Hayantar', 32 servicemen from military unit No. N, 17 local residents, as well as traffic police personnel.

It is worth noting that on August 22, at 20:02, the '911' service received a report about a fire that ignited at the end of the Norashenik village in the Syunik region.
