Fire Erupts at Malatia Mall, Containment Achieved as Extinguishing Efforts Continue

The fire that broke out at Malatia Mall has been contained. Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently ongoing.

At the scene, 13 fire-fighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are participating in the firefighting operations, along with two aerial ladders, a rapid response team from the National Center for Crisis Management, a special vehicle from the gas and smoke protection service, and two KamAZ vehicles from the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Response Center.

It is worth noting that as a result of the fire, seven injured individuals were transported to the Astghik Medical Center and Armenia Medical Center, where they received appropriate medical care and have since been discharged.

A total of 19 firefighting teams, two aerial ladders, a special rescue team from the special operations center of the Rescue Service, as well as rapid response and operational teams from the National Center for Crisis Management and a duty team from the center for disaster medicine were all involved in the operations, along with a psychological counselor from the psychological support department (totaling 434 rescuers). The city administration has provided water tank vehicles.
