49 Fire Alerts Received in One Day, Reports Emergency Situations Ministry

The National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on August 24, they received 49 alerts regarding fires in various grassland areas of the Republic, covering about 200 square meters or more.

Specifically, in the Erebuni administrative district of Yerevan, fires spanned 6000 sqm and 500 sqm; in the Arabkir administrative district, 1000 sqm; in the Davtashen administrative district, 1500 sqm; in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, 1000 sqm; along the Aragatsotn Province Agarak-Biurakan highway, 400 sqm; in the city of Ashtarak, 300 sqm; in the village of Kosh, 20 hectares; in the village of Aragyugh, 1000 sqm; in the village of Mkhchyan in Ararat Province, 2000 sqm; in the village of Mrgavan, 300 sqm; in the village of Nor Kharberd, 300 sqm; in the village of Darakert, 50 hectares.

The firefighters managed to isolate and extinguish the fires.
