Section of Kapan-Goris Highway Closed Due to Firefighting Operations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of August 24 at 5:30 PM, the highways in the Republic of Armenia are passable. However, approximately 20 km of the M-2 highway, connecting Kapan to Goris, is closed due to firefighting operations.

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. On the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, construction work is underway, leading to the closure of that section for trucks.

However, an alternative route has been established: Dilijan-Novemberyan-Bagratashen.
