15 Million Dram Worth of Assets Missing from the National Assembly

There is a shortfall of 15.5 million drams worth of assets in the National Assembly. This information was provided by the National Assembly's staff in response to written questions from Factor.am.

According to an inventory conducted on March 14, 2019, at the directive of the staff director, it was revealed that 54 items were not present on site. Specifically, the assembly is missing 22 computers, two external hard drives with two terabytes of data capacity, five infrared receivers, and other technical equipment and assets.

The staff of the National Assembly has informed law enforcement agencies about the missing assets. Arsen Babayan, the former deputy director of the assembly's staff, ruled out the possibility that the assets went missing during their tenure. “We also conducted an inventory in due time and all records have been preserved. If they have seen that the computers are missing, they should appeal to the law enforcement agencies. During our inventory, we did not have any loss of computers,” assured the former official.

The Prosecutor General's office has reported that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the missing property from the National Assembly, and an investigation is underway. Currently, no individuals are involved in the case.
