«From now on, if there is any disrespectful content, I will contact the police» – Singer Sona Shahgeldyan also appeals to the Prime Minister

Singer Sona Shahgeldyan has posted on her Facebook page: “I appeal to all media outlets, especially BlogNews.am. I have always stood by my people, unlike you and your website. I enjoy the love and respect of the people, as well as many who sell or have sold out to the former government. I do not sell out nor do I put my homeland up for sale; that is not my nature. Yes, I do what I do for the people.

Yes, I stood alongside the Velvet Revolution and I am proud to have participated on those days when my Armenian people were there. I did not fear, like many, that I would lose my job. I did not appear when everything was already over, and I did not flatter myself in hopes of receiving anything.

If necessary, I am ready once again to stand by my people; however, I hope that such a thing will not happen since we have a legitimate government that faithfully serves the Republic of Armenia, for which I thank Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

As for Amulsar, I was one of the first who opposed the exploitation of Amulsar; I said the mountain should remain a mountain. I appeal to the Prime Minister, Mr. Pashinyan, to sue the former government members who provided the basis for the positive decision regarding the contract with 'Lydian.' Listen to the voice of the people, and I respectfully request that as a citizen of Armenia, you pay attention to the media outlets that are spreading false information.

I also warn all media outlets, especially BlogNews.am, that if any disrespectful material about me or my family is published hereafter, I will contact the police.”
