Fire at Refrigeration Warehouse Still Not Extinguished, 11 Firefighting Units Involved
As of 11:30 on August 23, firefighting units from the Emergency Situations Ministry are working to extinguish the fire that broke out on the 5th floor of the "Zyunek Refrigeration" LLC building located on Arshakunyac Avenue in Yerevan. A total of 11 firefighting units (55 rescuers) and 4 aerial ladders are actively engaged in the fire suppression efforts.
The firefighting activities are a continuation of the efforts from August 19, when the fire erupted at 13:54 in the 'Zyunek Refrigeration' building, located at 9/2 Arshakunyac Avenue. Presently, 12 firefighting units, 5 aerial ladders, a special rescue team from the Rescue Forces Administration, and operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center and Regional Rescue Administration are participating in the operations, along with a duty team from the Center for Disaster Medicine.
Thanks to the selfless work of the firefighters, they have managed to salvage several hundred tons of various goods and cargo from the fire zones. The progress of the firefighting efforts is being reported regularly to Minister of Emergency Situations F. Tsolakyan.
It is worth noting that after the fire broke out on August 19, two firefighting units and an aerial ladder were dispatched to the scene, with additional units sent based on the needs as the situation developed, including another two firefighting units and a duty doctor from the Center for Disaster Medicine.
