Armenian Man Injured in Gunfire in Ukraine

A 54-year-old man, Andranik Martirosyan, has sustained gunshot wounds from an unknown assailant's shooting spree in the Ukrainian city of Kropyvnytskyi. The gunfire was directed at individuals standing near a police detention facility.

Also among the victims, Alexander Ivanov, the deputy head of the regional police and a lawyer, was killed in the shooting. Andranik Martirosyan, who was nearby at the time, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries to his hand and has undergone surgery. According to Ukrainian media reports, he was actually the intended target of the fatal shot.

Martirosyan was at the detention center to visit his son, Arsen Martirosyan, who is suspected of being involved in the murder of a participant in military operations. Prior to this incident, another assassination attempt had been made on Andranik Martirosyan.

The police are conducting an investigation, and a manhunt has been initiated to locate those involved in the shooting.
