Vandals Damage Fountain at Memorial for Fallen Soldiers of the Artsakh War

Police in Dilijan are preparing materials related to a report received on August 20 regarding vandalism at a memorial dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the Artsakh War. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the incident occurred near a newly constructed church in Dilijan.

An unidentified person or persons have defaced the memorial by erasing the benefactor's name with a sharp object, detaching the fountain spout, and damaging the fountains.

Notice: The person suspected or accused of the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a court decision that has entered into legal force.
