Citizens Must Inform Enforcement Officers When Changing Residence

The Judicial Acts Enforcement Service has issued a statement on its Facebook page, addressing citizens who are changing their residential address:

"Informing citizens: when changing residential address, the parties involved in the enforcement proceedings are obliged to notify the enforcement officer about this. Dear citizen,

We inform you that as of August 4, 2019, the amendment to the Republic of Armenia's law 'On the Enforcement of Judicial Acts' has come into force. According to this law, the decisions and notifications of the enforcement officer are sent to the parties involved in the enforcement proceedings through:

• postal delivery
• personal handover (in cases of personal handover, the decisions and notifications are given to the party or their representative)
• in specified cases, sent by email or other communication means

If a person has refused to accept a postal delivery, or the postal delivery sent to the specified address has been returned or when sending by registered mail, if the enforcement officer has not received a return notification regarding the notification (document of notification) after a two-week period from the sending date, then the notified information will be published on the website azdarar.am (after carrying out the necessary actions, the documents are considered delivered on the fifth day). Moreover, according to the amendments, the parties involved in the enforcement proceedings are obliged to inform the enforcement officer about any change in their residential address; otherwise, the decisions and notifications of the enforcement officer will be sent by postal mail to the enforcement bulletin or the address specified by each party and will be considered properly delivered to the addressee," the statement reads.
