52-Year-Old Driver Hits Sibling Pair with Lexus in Armavir

On August 21, an accident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 19:30, 52-year-old Gegham Khltghatyan, a resident of Arteni village, struck 46-year-old Alina Kocharyan and 44-year-old Arayik Kocharyan from Shirak region with his Lexus LX-470, license plate 54 OT 444, on the 1st kilometer of the Hatzik-Armavir highway.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene but assisted in transporting the injured to the “Armavir” medical center before notifying the police about the incident.

Officers from the 1st squad of the 2nd police battalion of the traffic police, led by squad commander Vahan Evinian, arrived at the scene. An operational group from the Armavir police department, headed by department chief Armen Khachatryan, also arrived at the site.

The investigative work was led by investigator Hovhannisyan from the same battalion, who is preparing materials on the case.

According to G. Shamshyan, the injured are siblings and citizens of the Russian Federation.
