‘He Means Me by Saying “A Pitiful Job Seeker”': Haik Martirosyan

Political scientist Haik Martirosyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The first part of the Prime Minister’s latest status evidently refers to the former head of the Environmental Inspection, Arthur Grigoryan, while the second refers to me: ‘He means me by saying “a pitiful job seeker.”” Since the Prime Minister, instead of addressing the various accusations and criticisms directed at him, particularly concerning the Amulsar issue, is resorting to personal and low insults towards his sharpest critics, I find it necessary to respond.

Given that the Prime Minister is trying to publicize his private interaction with a political scientist who previously greatly supported him, and in doing so resorts to cheap and ugly misrepresentation of facts, thus violating all norms of interpersonal ethics and truthfulness, it is important to clarify the reality for the sake of truth. I will not present an example that is far removed from reality, like the salt lake example he brought up yesterday; instead, I will focus on the facts.

Let me just say that I have not asked him for a job, let alone a ‘pitiful’ one. The continuing falsehood is shocking when you realize that such tricks are being used not only in politics but also in the private sector.

As for Arthur Grigoryan, it is said that he was the most competent environmental official to have ever served in Armenia.

By analyzing the aspect of the Prime Minister's decidedly inappropriate personal status and based on the fact that I am now preparing materials for the prosecutor's office and the NSS, I have no alternative but to conclude that there is a direct connection between these issues. In particular, it is difficult to characterize the summons of two individuals, including me, who have evidently caused the Prime Minister significant discomfort on the Amulsar issue, with anything other than an attempt at political persecution or pressure, rather than responding within the professional field.

Amulsar should remain a mountain.
