We Have Released 51 Million Cubic Meters Less Water from Lake Sevan: Nikol Pashinyan
As of August 12 of this year, we have released 51 million cubic meters less water from Lake Sevan compared to the same period last year. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
“As of August 12, the volume of water released from Sevan amounts to 93 million cubic meters, compared to 144 million cubic meters last year. This means that there is a high likelihood that there will be no need for releases exceeding the legally stipulated 170 million cubic meters from Sevan,” he wrote.
The reason for this situation is the relatively favorable weather and the application of emergency measures in the water management sector,” he added.
