I Resigned from the Position of Prime Minister's Advisor by My Own Request: Arsen Gasparyan

The former chief advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Gasparyan, has commented on his dismissal from the government office. In an interview with Armenpress, Gasparyan stated that he left his position as chief advisor to the Prime Minister by his own request.

"I have resigned from the position of chief advisor to the Prime Minister at my own request. The Prime Minister's personnel policy may involve certain reshuffles, and according to the rules of personnel ethics, I would not like to go into further commentary. I can only mention that my future activities are solely based on the discussions held between the Prime Minister and myself," Gasparyan noted.

He indicated that all the reasons cited in the media, without exception, do not correspond to reality. "I have been engaged in Armenia’s foreign economic relations, guided a number of investment projects, and presented 46 investment projects to the Prime Minister, some of which have already been implemented, while others are still in progress. I have led the working group on Waste Management and Recycling, as well as the Council of National Minorities. In collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Armenia, I organized the Armenian-Italian business forum, which recently took place in Yerevan and Gyumri.

Of course, I have fulfilled various tasks assigned by the Prime Minister in the fields of foreign economic and foreign policy. I have been involved in a number of intergovernmental and multilateral negotiations, including the EAEU-Singapore free trade agreement, which I hope will be signed on October 1 in Yerevan. I am confident that, thanks to my colleagues in the staff and other state institutions, positive results will be achieved in all these areas of work that I have initiated in the near future," he stated.
