‘Even if the Amulsar owner becomes a dog, and that organization becomes a dog, what matters is the environmental situation’: Alen Simonyan
Alen Simonyan, a deputy from the ‘My Step’ faction of the National Assembly, has not formed a personal stance regarding the operation of the Amulsar mine. He announced this today during a briefing with reporters.
The deputy noted that his professional knowledge and available information are insufficient to declare a position on this matter. “Everyone’s concern during the meeting was that we should not make a mistake,” he said, clarifying that if there is a likelihood of error, the government will not take risks.
“If there is a slight chance, even if the Amulsar owner becomes a dog, and that organization becomes a dog, what matters is the Republic of Armenia, and our environmental status,” he stated, emphasizing that no international organization can exert pressure on our government.
