Amulsar Report is Mostly Contradictory for Making Specific Decisions, Lena Nazaryan

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan informed on her Facebook page that a meeting of the "My Step" faction with the Prime Minister regarding the Amulsar issue has concluded, during which she expressed her views and concerns regarding the "Summary, Conclusions and Data Gaps" section of the examination by the "ELLARD" organization.

"I find it hard to believe that I have read the same report that the Investigative Committee has read and has unequivocally concluded that the risks are manageable. While reading, I had the same feeling that I always had when studying international post-election reports: when you first read all the documented facts of electoral violations, and at the end, you read a summary that concludes that although there were certain violations in the process, overall, the elections were a step forward. In the same way, the experts from Ellard provide evaluations and conclusions that cast doubt on the credibility of the EIA underlying the mine's operation permit, yet in the final summary, they arrive at a different conclusion. My concerns regarding the report remain unaddressed, and I maintain my position that the report is mostly contradictory for making specific decisions," wrote Nazaryan.
