Tonoyan and Shoigu Reach Important Agreements

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Arzrun Hovhannisyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Last evening, in Moscow, a meeting took place between the Minister of Defense of Armenia, David Tonoyan, and his counterpart, the Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Sergey Shoigu. During the meeting, issues related to bilateral military and military-technical cooperation were discussed. Expressing satisfaction with the current level of relations and emphasizing their strategic alliance nature, the defense ministers highlighted the importance of consistent development of cooperation in joint combat training, operational planning, military education, strengthening the combat readiness of the Russian 102nd military base, and several other areas. Regional and international security issues were also discussed. Mr. David Tonoyan and Army General Sergey Shoigu reached several important agreements regarding the implementation of bilateral politico-military, military, and military-technical programs."
