Teen Stabs Family Members in Russia

Five bodies have been discovered in the village of Patrickevo, Ulyanovsk Region, Russia, all of whom were members of the same family and killed with a knife. According to REN TV, the potential perpetrator is a 16-year-old teenager, whose body was found near the crime scene.

The Russian Investigative Committee has reported that it is believed the teen killed his mother, grandmother, grandfather, brother, and sister during the night of August 18, before taking his own life.

A source from the Ulyanovsk regional prosecutor's office confirmed to TASS that the bodies of six individuals were found in the village of Patrickevo. The teenager's body was located 500 meters from the house, next to a mobile communication worker.

The publication "Ulyanovskaya Pravda" noted that the teenager had informed a friend of his decision to commit murder through a voice message. A source told TASS that the young man had also left a letter before his death, explaining that he decided to take his own life because he did not want his family to have feelings concerning his death.

A representative of the Ulyanovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office commented to RIA Novosti that the teenager may have been suffering from schizophrenia. It was noted that he excelled in his studies, participated in Olympiads, and his family was considered to be well-off.
