No Armenian Citizens Among Injured in Major Odessa Fire
No Armenian citizens or individuals of Armenian descent are among the injured in the recent fire in Odessa. This information was shared by Tigran Seiranian, Armenia's Ambassador to Ukraine, on his Facebook page.
According to his updates, the Armenian consulate general in Odessa is in contact with local police and emergency services. Earlier reports indicated that a significant fire broke out in one of the hotels in Odessa last night, resulting in at least eight fatalities.
The fire occurred at the 'Tokyo Star' hotel. Firefighters arriving at the scene discovered that the second floor of the hotel was ablaze. At that time, approximately 200 people were present in the hotel, of whom 150 were evacuated, and 10 individuals were taken to the hospital. Eight bodies were found at the scene.
The causes of the fire have not yet been determined, and an investigation is ongoing.
