Why Kocharyan's Case Has Not Been Assigned to Judges: Explanation from Poladyan

The head of the Judicial Department of Armenia, Karen Poladyan, explained in a conversation with reporters today, August 16, why the case of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has not yet been assigned in the first instance court.

According to the Judicial Code, the court's computer program distributes cases. Currently, Kocharyan's case is not available in the first instance court to be assigned. Yes, the judge's powers have been suspended and 37 out of his 43 cases have already been assigned, but this case has not been assigned because it is not at the first instance level,” Poladyan stated. He noted that Robert Kocharyan's case has been reviewed in the Court of Appeals, an act has been made, and the case is currently at the Court of Cassation.
