Araik Harutyunyan Disturbed by Reporter’s Question about Khachapuri

During a briefing with journalists at the Government today, Armenia's Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Araik Harutyunyan, was disturbed by a question posed by a lecturer from the Armenian State University of Economics regarding the consumption of khachapuri.

“Are you asking me about khachapuri? These are minor issues related to the university; let them discuss these matters within the institution,” the minister stated.

In response to a follow-up remark that if these issues are minor, it is normal for the university rector to present them to the public, Harutyunyan replied, “I believe you have directed those questions to the rector.”

The minister emphasized that issues concerning professors' complaints at the Armenian State University of Economics are ongoing within the framework of the law and will not affect the academic process scheduled to begin on September 1. “We will not allow problems to go beyond the realm of law and rights,” Harutyunyan stated.
