Why Armen Jigarkhanyan Has Been Hospitalized

Armen Jigarkhanyan, the People's Artist of the USSR, has been hospitalized, with his friend Arthur Sogomonian providing details about the actor's condition, clarifying that it is a routine check-up.

"There is no acute illness; he is simply undergoing a routine examination," Sogomonian is quoted by Life.ru as saying.

The 83-year-old actor's friend insists that he is not in the intensive care unit, refuting rumors to the contrary.

In a contrasting report, the Mash Telegram channel has indicated that the artist is being prepared for heart surgery.

It is worth noting that earlier, Russian producer and actor Mark Rudinshtein reported that Armen Jigarkhanyan had been transferred to the intensive care unit of one of Moscow's clinics.
