47 Fires Erupt in Grassland Areas

On August 13, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 38 calls regarding fires that broke out in various grassland areas of the republic, involving approximately 200 square meters and more.

Specifically, in the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan, a fire covered 500 square meters; in the Erebuni administrative district, 2000 square meters, 300 square meters; in the Ajapnyak administrative district, 6000 square meters; in the Davtashen administrative district, 400 square meters; in the Kentron administrative district, 700 square meters; in the Shengavit administrative district, 600 square meters; in the Aragatsotn region, in the town of Ashtarak, 5 hectares, and 500 square meters; in the village of Ohanavan, 200 square meters; in the village of Parpi, approximately 3 hectares; in the Ararat region, in the city of Ararat, 1 hectare; in the town of Masis, about 1300 square meters; in the village of Dimitrov, 2000 square meters; in the Armavir region, in the village of Parakar, 7000 square meters, 500 square meters; in the village of Mrdzavan, 1 hectare; in the Lori region, in the village of Lernapat, 2000 square meters; in the Kotayk region, in the city of Charentsavan, approximately 400 square meters; in the city of Hrazdan, 2000 square meters, 2 hectares; in the city of Yeghvard, 2 hectares, 2 hectares, 1.5 hectares; in the city of Abovyan, 7 hectares; in the village of Proshyan, 2000 square meters; in the village of Dzoraghbyur, 4000 square meters; on the Mrgashen-Yeghvard highway, 7000 square meters; in the Shirak region, in the city of Gyumri, 250 square meters, 300 square meters; in the Syunik region, in the city of Kapan, 600 square meters; in the village of Syunik, 2 hectares; in the city of Agarak, about 700 square meters; in the village of Agarak, 7 hectares; on the Goris-Kapan highway, 600 square meters; in the Tavush region, in the city of Ijevan, 3000 square meters, 7000 square meters; and on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, 1 hectare of harvested wheat field and 3000 square meters of reeds.

The firefighters have isolated and extinguished the fires.
