Melik Manukyan Recognized as Victim in Attempted Murder Case
Former MP and businessman known as “Shshi Melon,” Melik Manukyan has been recognized as a victim in the case related to the explosion that occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway on August 2.
This was reported to NEWS.am by Naira Harutyunyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee.
Recall that the explosion took place near the glass containers factory owned by Melik Manukyan. A criminal case has been initiated based on Article 34-104, Part 2, Clause 6 of the Armenian Criminal Code, pertaining to attempted murder in a manner dangerous to many lives, as well as Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, regarding illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
Within the framework of the case, three individuals have been detained. Additionally, two more individuals have been arrested for removing Melik Manukyan’s vehicle from the scene of the explosion.
