Clash In Republic Square Involving Approximately 30 People

A brawl involving approximately 30 people took place in Republic Square last night. Citizens alerted law enforcement about the incident. It is difficult to say how the situation would have ended if police officers had not arrived at the scene promptly and detained several individuals.

The detained individuals were found to have bloodstains on their clothing. According to Sputnik Armenia, one participant in the incident was transported to the number 1 university hospital with various bodily injuries. Reports indicate that some of the participants in the brawl are citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The RA Police reported that on August 12 at 04:42, a report was received about a dispute in Republic Square. Officers dispatched to the scene intervened to prevent further developments and detained four individuals on suspicion of engaging in the brawl.

One person sought medical assistance. A forensic examination has been appointed, and materials are being prepared at the Central Division of the Police.
