Mayor Hayk Marutyan Unwell, Unable to Attend Today's Council Meeting

Today, an extraordinary meeting of the Yerevan council took place, during which Mayor Hayk Marutyan was not present. Reports have emerged in the media suggesting that Marutyan has submitted his resignation letter, and this is the reason he did not attend today's council meeting.

To verify the authenticity of this information, Irakanum.am contacted Yerevan Mayor's spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan, who dismissed the reports as gossip and urged not to believe in rumors.

“The mayor’s first deputy, Hrachya Sargsyan, mentioned the reason for the mayor’s absence during the meeting. The mayor is unwell and did not participate in the meeting today; he simply has a slight cold,” stated Hakob Karapetyan.
