Submit Employment Record Books to Service Departments as Soon as Possible: NSS

The Social Security Service urges employers and citizens not to delay and to submit employment record books to the territorial departments of the service as soon as possible.

“Dear citizens, the Government of the Republic of Armenia, by decision N 882-N dated August 18, 2016, initiated the digitization process of employment record books starting from 2017, with a deadline to complete the work by December 31, 2018. According to the established procedure, based on partnership principles, employment record books were collected by the Service and employers in accordance with agreed timelines, starting with those employers with the highest number of employees and then proceeding to those with fewer employees.”

“Based on the provisions of the mentioned decision, the digitization of employment record books will be carried out within agreed deadlines with employers (without imposing administrative responsibility). The Service has collected and digitized approximately 270,000 employment record books. Considering that this process is essential for the realization of citizens’ pension rights, the Social Security Service, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, initiated an extension of the digitization process for another year, until December 31, 2019.”

“Thus, the Service reminds once again that, according to the Government of Armenia's decision N 627-N dated May 23, 2019, the deadline for digitizing employment record books has been extended until December 2019. The Service regularly informs via emails and various communication sources about the need to submit non-digitized record books to the territorial departments of the Service.”

“In order to avoid unnecessary congestion at the end of the established deadline for submission of record books for digitization, the Service once again urges employers and citizens to cooperate and to submit the record books to the territorial departments of the Service as soon as possible.”
