Bankruptcy Proceedings Filed Against Gagik Tsarukyan's Brandy Factory
The leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, is facing bankruptcy proceedings against his Yerevan-based "Ararat Brandy-Wine Distillery" LLC. It has come to our attention that the application was submitted by "Daf Alco Trans" LLC.
The company's lawyer, Harutyun Harutyunyan, confirmed our information, adding that the bankruptcy application has been accepted for proceedings and a temporary bankruptcy manager has already been appointed. The case concerns approximately 120,000,000 AMD.
According to the lawyer, for a long time, his client company provided freight transportation services to "Ararat Brandy-Wine Distillery" LLC, and they have always maintained a good understanding and cooperative relationship. After providing freight transportation services once again, "Ararat Brandy-Wine Distillery" LLC refused to pay the amount, and since "Daf Alco Trans" LLC had also involved vehicles belonging to other companies in the transportation process, it consequently could not pay them, facing serious financial problems.
The lawyer stated that the director of "Daf Alco Trans" LLC, Hayk Grigoryan, believes that the owner of "Ararat Brandy-Wine Distillery" LLC is unaware of this situation; otherwise, such circumstances would not have been allowed to escalate.
Referring to Sedrak Arustamyan’s interview with another media outlet, in which he claimed that all this is slander, the lawyer remarked that he believes Arustamyan has been provided with incomplete information regarding this issue; otherwise, he would have taken concrete steps to resolve the problem, considering they have always had warm partnership relations.
