Mother Returns Twin Boys Abandoned in Gyumri Orphanage Yard

On October 20 of last year, the twin boys found in a polyethylene bag in the yard of an orphanage in Gyumri have been returned to their biological family. This was reported to NEWS.am by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

The press service did not provide further details, only noting that during this period steps have been taken to assist the children's mother so that she can raise the children independently.

It is worth recalling that former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan had met with the mother of the twins at the Gyumri Children's Home, where the young woman expressed regret and her desire to have her little ones returned.

Tandilyan stated that she would support the improvement of the woman's social situation so that the children could return to their mother’s care.

Earlier, law enforcement reported that on October 17, at 20:00, a call was received by the Mush police department regarding two newborn boys found in the yard of the F. Nansen's night-time establishment located at 10 Shirakatsi Street, Gyumri.

The dispatched operational group determined that the staff of the same establishment discovered the two newborn boys wrapped in a polyethylene bag placed on the ground at 19:40. The children were handed over to a representative of the
