Video: The Pickpocket Who Stabbed a Citizen is in Police Custody

On August 5, a Facebook user posted information on their personal page stating that there had been an incident involving several youths on a public bus. According to the user, they were pickpockets, one of whom had even stabbed him with a knife. The user also included a photo.

Following the post, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan city police, specifically from the unit combating pickpocketing, conducted operational investigative measures and identified the individual depicted in the photo.

The 26-year-old man, residing in the capital, was located in the Shengavit administrative district and was apprehended by the Central Police Department on suspicion. He has provided a confession. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

It is worth noting that Dr. Vahram Bughdaryan reported that he had an altercation with one of the pickpockets on public transport, after which the assailant stabbed him.
