Another Tragedy Averted: Housewife Hangs from Tree with a Rope

On August 1, another tragedy was averted in the Kotayk province. A 71-year-old housewife was found hanging from a tree in the yard of one of the houses in Garni village. Fortunately, her husband saw his wife hanging from the tree and cut the rope.

Neighbors rushed to help and transported the unconscious woman to a medical facility in the village, and subsequently to the 'Saint Gregory the Illuminator' medical center in Yerevan. Doctors are monitoring the woman, fighting to save her life.

According to some circulating reports in the village, the woman has health issues and most likely resorted to this extreme measure so as not to be a burden to her husband. Law enforcement officials are investigating the details of the incident.
