We Hope That the Construction of a Car Customs Terminal in Gyumri Will Revitalize the Economic Life of Gyumri: Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "On the Armenian-Georgian border, we have three customs points, of which Bagratashen is operating at full capacity, while Bavra and Gogavan are underloaded.
By the government's decision, 181 million drams and 21.5 hectares of land have been allocated to the State Revenue Committee for the construction of a car customs terminal and an external economic activity center in Gyumri. We hope that this will revitalize the economic life of Gyumri.
With such decisions, we also aim to balance the operations of the three customs points. In this regard, it is important that the government has also allocated money for the renovation of the Gyumri-Bavra road. Our Georgian partners have begun the renovation of the Ninotsminda-Bavra section. An agreement has also been reached regarding the renovation of the Guguti Armenian-Georgian border section. The road on our side, the Gogavan road, is in good condition."
