Siblings Brawl in Gavar Ends with Stabbing Incident

According to Shamshyan.com, a brawl and stabbing incident occurred in the Gegharkunik Province on July 31. Around 1:00 PM, the Gavar Medical Center alerted the Gavar Police Department about a citizen being brought in with "penetrating stab wounds to the abdomen, along with stab wounds to the chest and lumbar areas."

Sources indicate that the victim is 40-year-old Norayr Bazikyan, a resident of Gavar. The police determined that earlier that day, around 12:50 PM, a dispute over household matters had arisen between Norayr and his brother, 36-year-old Gegham Bazikyan, also a Gavar resident, during which Gegham had attacked Norayr with a kitchen knife.

Before the medical team could provide assistance to the wounded, Gavar police located Gegham Bazikyan, who was subsequently taken into custody. Investigations are underway by the Gavar Police Department's investigative division regarding the incident. Gegham also presented the knife used in the crime to the police.
