Drone Approaches Boeing 737 During Approach to Zvartnots Airport

On July 19, during the approach process of a B737 aircraft traveling to Yerevan, the crew reported the presence of a remotely operated drone near the left side of the aircraft at approximately 1000 meters above ground level (about 1900 meters above sea level), while they were flying over the Dalarik community in the Armavir region.

This information was provided by the Civil Aviation Committee. Unauthorized flights, which have not been coordinated with the air traffic service's flight information center, pose inevitable dangers and risks that could lead to irreversible consequences.

We urge and recommend that unmanned aerial systems be operated in accordance with the provisions set forth by decree No. 56 of April 11, 2007 (latest update No. 100-N of June 17, 2016), and strictly adhere to the allowed flight altitudes and areas.
