Wolf Attacks Sheep in Byurakn Community
Today, around 4:30 PM, a wolf attacked sheep in the Byurakn village of the Amasia community. The incident occurred not in the mountains but on a farm within the village. In broad daylight, the predator approached the home of local resident Hmayak Kirakosyan. His sheep were not in the barn but in a neighbor's yard, separated in an open area.
Hmayak Kirakosyan told SHANTNEWS' correspondent that there were 29 sheep in the flock, of which 13 were harmed by the wolf. Seven were entirely devoured, while the throats of the others were slashed and, according to the owner, will have to be slaughtered. Approximately 200 meters away from his home is the house of Hmayak Kirakosyan's brother. Just three days ago, the wolf had attacked two of his brother's sheep as well.
It should be noted that Hmayak Kirakosyan's house is on the outskirts of the village. According to the owner, the wolf had never come this close to the village before. They were even unaware that there was a wolf in the area.
