Thank You to All Ministers from Previous Years, Except for One... Director of Information Department Steps Down

The head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Arthur Baghdasaryan, is set to conclude his tenure as of August 1. He announced this on his Facebook page, specifically stating:

“Dear colleagues, I would like to inform you that as of August 1, I will cease my official duties as the head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia. I hasten to add that this is my decision and is not related to any pressure or coercion. The reasons are deeper, and I may touch upon them later.

Considering the fact that I have worked in this position for more than fifteen years and have collaborated with many individuals throughout my career, I want to convey my gratitude and appreciation. I thank all journalists for their cooperation, except for one... I thank all my colleagues, except for one... I thank all the employees of the ministry, except for one... I thank all the press secretaries over the years, except for one... I thank all the deputy ministers from previous years, except for one... I thank all the ministers from previous years, except for one... I thank all my department's employees, without exception.

I would like to inform you that I will continue my activities in the sector of education, science, and culture, excluding sports… I am simply not that universal…”
