Davit Khajakyan: Sanitek's Press Conference in Tbilisi Could Harm Our Country
Sanitek's decision to hold a press conference in Tbilisi could pose a risk to both our city and our country. This was stated by Davit Khajakyan, the head of the "Lus" faction of the Yerevan City Council, in a conversation with journalists today.
“The organization is a foreign investor, and discussions being held in the capital of a neighboring state by that investor could directly affect Yerevan's reputation. I call on the leadership of Sanitek to refrain from this step, as it could set a bad precedent for other investors as well. Imagine if several other international investors invite you to hold press conferences in other countries and discuss matters related to Yerevan or Armenia there. We believe that this conference should not take place there. I appeal to the owners of Sanitek to abandon this idea, return to Yerevan, and answer the questions of Yerevan residents and journalists here,” he said.
Davit Khajakyan urged Sanitek's leadership to refrain from this course of action. “I believe that this call will also resonate among our journalistic community, as the issue is of a local nature and cannot become a subject of discussion in a neighboring state,” he added.
