21-Year-Old Woman Dies in Yerevan After Recent Pregnancy Termination

A 21-year-old woman has died today at the Armenia Medical Center in Yerevan. She resided in the village of Areguni in the Gegharkunik province.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the woman was transferred to the capital on July 22 while being approximately 7-8 months pregnant. The fetus had been removed, and the young woman was admitted to the Armenia Medical Center for treatment of respiratory failure.

Unfortunately, she passed away seven days after her hospitalization.

The deceased woman's relatives are blaming the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, where she had received treatment before being transferred to the Armenia Medical Center. Law enforcement is investigating the circumstances surrounding the case.
