According to ArmLur.am, the Supreme Judicial Council has recently suspended the powers of Judge Davit Grigoryan. It is noteworthy that he is the judge who previously ruled for the release of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and whose office was searched.
To confirm this information, ArmLur.am spoke with Karen Poladyan, the head of the Judicial Department, who validated our findings. We also learned that the acting Attorney General has submitted a request to the Supreme Judicial Council regarding the initiation of criminal prosecution against him, and based on the law, the Council has suspended his powers.
As is known, a criminal case has been initiated against him based on a complaint from citizens.
