New Combat Boots for Those Joining the Army This Draft: Colonel Armen Avtandilian

Today, those drafted under the "I Am" program are being deployed from the central assembly point of the armed forces. They have chosen to serve on the front lines for three years on a voluntary basis and will receive benefits for this service.

The conditions were reiterated to the recruits by the acting Chief Military Commissioner of Armenia, Colonel Armen Avtandilian, who wished them a good service. Later, the military official informed reporters that in addition to participants in the "I Am" program, musicians and several recruits from various regions were also being deployed today.

Those joining the army in this draft will be receiving new combat boots. According to Avtandilian, some individuals manage to keep their uniforms in good condition, while others ruin them quickly. "In such cases, soldiers can turn to their commanders. I believe their commanders will not refuse and will provide new uniforms to our soldiers," Avtandilian said, noting that there have been no cases of refusal so far.

Addressing the issue of suicides in the army, Avtandilian stated that such incidents happen in the military just as they do in civilian life. However, military personnel are doing everything possible to prevent such cases in the army. He mentioned that problems often stem from schools, universities, family social conditions, and other issues. Regardless, the military emphasizes that they also carry out psychological work both at the assembly point and in the troops to prevent such cases.
