Call to Interrupt Vacation in Hurghada Concerns Only Tourists from A&R Tour Packages, Says Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has issued a clarification stating that the announcement from the Armenian Embassy in Egypt advising Armenian citizens vacationing in Egypt to interrupt their holiday and return to Yerevan on the flight scheduled for July 29 applies only to those tourists who traveled to Egypt using packages from the A&R Tour operator.
"This statement applies only to passengers of the A&R tour operator. We urge all other tourists to continue with their planned vacation," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in their announcement.
It is important to recall that the Armenian Embassy in Egypt had announced that the Hurghada-Yerevan flight Orange2fly number OTF 3701 scheduled for July 29 will take off at 03:00 Egypt time. "At the same time, we request passengers whose flights are scheduled for August 1 and 5 to interrupt their vacation and take the aforementioned flight to Armenia. These citizens are asked to provide the Armenian Embassy with their personal details (name and surname in Latin script, passport number) to be included in the relevant list.
