Fake Assassination Attempt on Vladimir Putin

In Yekaterinburg, Russia, two men attempted to detonate a bomb targeting President Vladimir Putin's motorcade. This was reported by РИА Новости.

It was noted that a replica of an explosive device was placed along the route of the Russian leader's motorcade. Law enforcement officials have already detained the men, who confessed that their actions were meant to test the response of the authorities.

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the detainees are residents of Yekaterinburg and have previous convictions.
