Insurance Companies Paid Taxes Only After Criminal Cases Were Initiated: SRS
The Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) has initiated criminal cases against several insurance companies. This information was provided by the SRC's Information and Public Relations Division.
During the preliminary investigation of the criminal cases, it was revealed that insurance companies had concealed their actual profits and artificially reduced their figures using false data.
Only during the investigation of these criminal cases, in order to avoid comprehensive tax audits, the mentioned companies submitted new adjusted reports to the SRC and paid additional taxes amounting to approximately 218 million 483 thousand drams.
The criminal cases do not end here, as the preliminary investigation against certain insurance companies is still ongoing.
