We Are Grateful to God and Our Survival, As We Are All Standing and Healthy: Styopa Safaryan

Political scientist Styopa Safaryan shared details on his Facebook page about the accident in which his vehicle overturned. He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the police, and the ambulance services for their quick response.

“Here is the road where we were involved in an accident at an average speed of 50 km/h, on the right side. Two experienced drivers explained that the car became uncontrollable after braking on the gravel (although I didn’t do it abruptly) and then due to the subsequent swerving. It turns out that in such situations, conversely, one should accelerate. At least, that’s how they explained it, as the gravel behaves like spinning balls. Some suggest that the deep drainage ditch, hidden under tall grass on the side, also played a negative role and contributed to the car overturning, while others claim it actually broke the momentum.

We are grateful to God and our survival, as we are all standing and healthy after all this. We wish the same for all people. Thank you to everyone, both foreigners and Armenians, who immediately stopped, offered all kinds of assistance, helped us out of the car, and righted the vehicle. It was unimaginable. Thank you for the promptness and support to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Police, and the Ambulance Services, who were at the scene in a matter of minutes. Cheers!”
