It Is Possible Not to Cut Down the Forest and Serve the Homeland: Minister
The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, assured reporters today that there are vacant positions for contract servicemen in the Ministry of Defense.
"There is a need. There are vacant positions, which means it is possible not to cut down the forest and serve the homeland," Tonoyan said, referring to the claim of the Tavush governor that there is a need for contract servicemen in the regions and people could take up this work instead of cutting down forests.
According to Tonoyan, there are cases where people combine both roles: serving in the military and cutting down trees. "This will be neutralized over time," the Defense Minister stated.
