Condition of 35-Year-Old Man Injured in Lori Province Rockfall is Critically Stable
The condition of 35-year-old Vardan Mkrtumyan, who was injured in a rockfall in Lori Province on July 14, is critically stable. He is currently in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
This was reported to NEWS.am by Petros Manukyan, the deputy director of St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center. The man was transferred to the hospital with brain contusion, lung laceration, and other injuries. He is currently undergoing examination to determine the extent of his injuries.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call on July 14 at 13:56, indicating that a rockfall had occurred at the 20th kilometer of the road from Alaverdi in Lori Province towards the Georgian border. The rockfall damaged a vehicle traveling on the road, resulting in the deaths of its passengers, 35-year-old Karine Galstyan and her 12-year-old daughter, Lilia Mkrtumyan, while the family’s father, 35-year-old Vardan Mkrtumyan, was taken to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center in Yerevan.
